We are currently recruiting a number of Clearing Applicant Support Operators on a short term timesheet basis to assist the university with the delivery of Clearing. Clearing is an opportunity for applicants to apply to places at the university once they have received their results, therefore the role will involve taking applications and enquiries over the phone, as well as providing excellent customer care to applicants at all stages of the Admissions and Registration process.
You will need to be educated to a level (or equivalent), have good customer service skills and excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Important information:
- The roles will be located at our Canterbury Campus
- There will be mandatory training weeks held from Monday 1st July or Monday 29th july , depending of the start date selected. You will be paid for attending the weeks.
- There will be mandatory online training which must be completed prior to attending your training week. You will be paid for completing this training.
- After the mandatory training weeks, work will be allocated on a Rota basis between 8am and 8pm Monday to Sunday from the 15th of August until the 30th of September
- Prospective applicants should note that there are a limited number of vacancies, and the department may choose to select applicants on a first come first served basis.
- Telephone interviews will be arranged at a mutually convenient time by the hiring department directly
- The department may choose to close the advert earlier than the published close date, should sufficient applications be received
- The University is required to obtain evidence from all new members of staff of their eligibility to work in the UK prior to their start date and this will need to be provided before a contract can be issued
Further details can be found in the job specification document attached.
Please note that we prioritise applications from current University of Kent redeployees. We will let you know if this post is to be filled by a redeployee as, in this instance, your application will unfortunately not be taken forward.
Applications must be made via the University’s online application system; CVs or details sent directly to the department or via email cannot be considered.
The University of Kent values diversity and promotes equality at all levels.
