Through LASE we aim to deliver outstanding education, impactful research, and meaningful regional and global impact.</em></p><p data-pasted="true"><strong><em>If you have proven experience of working in a Technical support role and experience using complex technical equipment, then this is great opportunity for you.</em></strong></p><p>Working as part of a technical support team providing a comprehensive, immediate and specialised support service for staff and students within the School, you will help to deliver timely and effective specialised research and teaching support to students, academic and research staff at all levels and visitors to the School.</p><p><strong>As Technician (Media) you can expect to be involved in:</strong></p><ul><li>Working on own initiative with minimal supervision. Using a well-developed working technical knowledge to help solve problems independently, maintaining the working environment and raising any complex issues with more senior staff</li><li>Planning and performing activities independently using a range of techniques, sometimes working from a limited brief</li><li>Liaising with staff, students and visitors, as well as dealing with routine external service provider to ensure facilities and equipment are kept operational. Working collaboratively with other members of the team</li><li>Operating technical equipment, assisting staff and students. Undertake routine maintenance tasks, fault finding and basic repairs.</li></ul><p><strong>What will you bring to the role?</strong></p><ul><li>Educated to A level in a relevant subject or equivalent vocational qualifications&nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience of working in a Technical support role&nbsp;</li><li>Relevant theoretical knowledge in a related work area&nbsp;</li><li>Experience using complex technical equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent working knowledge of safety regulations, legislation, and procedures.
