Kent Business School are seeking a strong administrator with excellent organisation, IT and communication skills to join the current professional services team on a full time basis for 12 months. 

You will undertake a range of student focused and administrative duties to provide support in the area of student placements, Quality Assurance and Accreditations, ensuring the efficient and effective administration within these areas of strategic importance. You will work alongside other professional teams within the school and across the University to ensure a wide range of administrative duties are fulfilled in the support of learning and teaching priorities within the School. 

As Education and Placements Officer you will:

  • provide administrative support to the KBS employability and placements function for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, to ensure these operate effectively and efficiently.
  • act as administrator in the organisation of meetings, events and committees within the school ensuring they are run efficiently and that any outcomes/decisions are actioned.
  • support the Accreditations & Facilities Manager in maintaining and updating information on SharePoint or on a shared network drive to support the acquisition and maintenance of School accreditation and responding to queries from stakeholders including students, staff and external contacts.

 To succeed in this role you will have/be:

  • an education to A level standard or equivalent plus GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
  • IT qualification such as ECDL or equivalent experience
  • highly organised with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy at all times 
  • flexible with the ability to respond positively to changing priorities in a challenging environment
  • experience of evaluating data and producing reports (desirable)

The role is based within the professional service team whose primary function is to provide administrative support and management to key services that support the infrastructure, decision-making processes and strategy of the School.

The professional service function is supported by 45 full-time or part-time professional service staff at the Canterbury and Medway campuses.
