Do you have the skills and abilities to become an examination invigilator for the University of Kent at our Medway campus?

We are now inviting applications for Invigilators for the summer of 2020. The Central Student Administration Office and its team of Invigilators are responsible for ensuring that University examinations run as smoothly and efficiently as possible and in accordance with the Conduct of Examinations regulations.

Invigilators are engaged on a temporary basis. The rate of pay is £10.90 per hour. Please note, these are not substantive University appointments and Invigilators are only required to carry out the main bulk of invigilation shifts between May and June 2020.

Selected applicants will be required to attend and successfully complete the relevant training session in order to be offered Invigilator work.

For full details of the duties involved and the skills and abilities required, as well as the shifts and training dates, please refer to the Job Description available to download below. Please also download the Important Information document, as this contains information which will aid you with your application.

We are also recruiting Invigilators for our Canterbury campus under job reference IC1-20. Please note that you should apply either to Canterbury or to Medway - we are unable to accept applications for both campuses due to availability requirements and potentially overlapping exam schedules at the different campuses.

Only external applicants (non-student) or Postgraduate Research students may apply. Undergraduate students and Postgraduate Taught students will not be considered.

Applications from current postgraduate research students will only be considered if the Central Student Administration Office receives a character reference from their tutor/supervisor. This reference must be hand-signed, written on the School’s letter-headed paper, and emailed to by the closing date 21 February 2020.

If you have any questions about the role, the shifts or the application process, please read all attached documents or contact the Central Student Administration Office by email at
