The Kent and Medway Progression Federation (KMPF) are looking for an experienced and committed Hub Manager to manage the core team and have oversight of the KMPF collaborative outreach programme. 

The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate the KMPF collaborative outreach programme on behalf of partner universities, colleges and schools across Kent and Medway to ensure that successful collaborative outreach programmes are sustained.  The post will also be responsible for the KMPF Uni Connect Team. The post will work to ensure that programmes meet the needs of local schools, colleges and other partner organisations and that the prescribed financial, monitoring and evaluation processes are properly followed.

The role requires substantial work experience within the field of outreach and widening participation work, in addition to project and staff management skills.  The role holder must be able to work effectively with all partners within the federation.

If you have experience and knowledge in monitoring and evaluating projects as well as confidence in delivering collaborative programmes across different sectors this full time fixed term role as KMPF Uni Connect Hub Manager (until 31 July 2021) could be a wonderful opportunity to join our busy and professional Partnership Development Office.

As Hub Manager you will:

  • manage the KMPF core team to ensure the team works co-operatively and effectively through regular team meetings and individual line management meetings
  • author reports to the Office for Students and work with the Administrator, Data Officer and other colleagues to ensure the accuracy the quality and validity of reports and return
  • seek opportunities for the development of new project work appropriate to the aims of KMPF through work with existing partner institutions and through the creating of new relationships and funding opportunities

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • a BA Honours degree or equivalent
  • Excel spreadsheet training
  • evidence of an understanding of the range of issues facing the FE HE and School sectors in relation to widening participation in higher education 
  • experience in the preparation of financial returns and progress reports to funding bodies and government agencies 

The Partnership Development Office is responsible for supporting the implementation of the University’s widening participation strategy and for developing partnerships in the region, with a particular focus on sub-regional partnerships, in support of this strategy. The Partnership Development Office is part of the Marketing, Outreach, Recruitment and Admissions Division (MORA).   Please note that the role may be located in any one of the KMPF partner offices.
