Are you passionate about IT Infrastructure, new technology and delivering IT services to tens of thousands of users?

We are looking to recruit three highly motivated IT professionals to deliver substantial improvements to the University’s IT infrastructure over the next two years. The roles will specialise in the following areas of project delivery: server infrastructure, networks and end user computing. The projects will also encourage working across specialisms.

This virtual team will work with peers to specify, design, procure and implement substantial developments to the University’s storage, compute and network provision to support the delivery of core IT services.

As IT Infrastructure Developer you will:

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to gather requirements, quantitative and qualitative feedback about IT service improvements.
  • Work with existing teams to deliver IT infrastructure from design through to deployment.
  • Manage the transition of new infrastructure to operational services.
  • Co-ordinate internal and external resource to support project delivery.

To succeed in any of these roles you will:

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and negotiate with staff and other users at all levels.
  • Have strong analytical skills.
  • Be organised and able to prioritise workloads in the face of conflicting demands.
  • Have a good working knowledge of networking, server virtualisation, storage, Windows/Linux server administration or directory services.
