Do you have experience of working in a busy and fast paced administrative office environment? Are you adept at maintaining accuracy and first class customer service whilst juggling frequently changing priorities?

Joining our Student Administration team at Medway, you will have daily contact with students, academic staff, external bodies and the public. You will put to use your communication and interpersonal skills to deal with people at all levels calmly and confidently and to provide a positive and welcoming service on behalf of the University.

As Student Administration Officer you will:

  • Provide flexible clerical/secretarial support at key points throughout the academic year for example for enrolment, registration, examinations, assessment and statistical data returns.
  • Contribute to the team's work in maintaining and updating student information in relation to module and programme of study, coursework, examination marks.
  • Create and maintain student files and produce status letters.
  • Assist with arrangements for events.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Experience of working in a customer service environment.
  • Good IT skills with advanced experience in databases and Excel.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • The ability to use your initiative and to work effectively as a member of the team.

Medway Student Administration Office, part of Student Records and Examinations Office, is responsible for the maintenance and validation of accurate records for all students of the University, large scale student events, including enrolment and registration of all new and returning students, administration of the official University examinations, and operation of the Medway Student Reception in the Gillingham building.
