Are you analytical and able to gather requirements and solve problems? Do you have good diagnostic skills and the ability to assimilate information quickly? 

We are seeking two experienced Business Analysts to enable a project at the University. The successful candidate will define accurate and relevant requirements for improving processes and systems, reduce their costs, enhance their sustainability, and clearly quantify the potential business benefits. 

Reporting to the Head of Central Student Administration Office, you will be working as a part of a team to ensure KentVision remains fit for the purpose of supporting the delivery of the student lifecycle across the entire University portfolio. The main activities of the job will be to complete project tasks as allocated, such as:

  • Plan, arrange and facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to investigate requirements
  • Document system specifications, author technical specifications, produce functional designs in order for development teams to create and implement improvements
  • Work in partnership with staff across the university and suppliers to ensure a smooth rollout, implementation and support

To succeed in this role you will: 

  • Be educated to graduate level or have the equivalent experience
  • Be analytical and able to gather requirements and solve problems with good diagnostic skills
  • Show initiative and develop novel solutions to complex problems.

The Central Student Administration Office function is to ensure the smooth running of central student administration, maintaining and updating critical student information and managing large scale central student operations, including registration examination processes, and provide administrative and systems support for the Student Data System. The Office is ‘front of house’ for the University, and has overall responsibility for the operation of the Registry Student Reception at the front of the Registry building, and is often the first point of contact within the University of Kent for Visitors and Students.
