Do you have experience of working within a busy office environment and thrive on being proactive in your work? Do you possess excellent numeracy skills? If so, this 12 month full time role within the Quality Assurance Office could be a good opportunity for you to provide a high level clerical support to members of the Quality Assurance team. This will ensure the smooth operation of the QA Office in meeting its key areas of responsibility.
As Clerical Assistant – Quality Assurance you will:
- liaise proactively with staff in the QA Office to ensure routine clerical arrangements for all areas of work are anticipated and provided for effectively
- create and maintain electronic student records for the Validated Institutions
- create and maintain the QA Office website using Dreamweaver
- organise meetings, booking rooms and refreshments
To succeed in this role you will have:
- ECDL or demonstrable high-level knowledge of, and ability in using Microsoft Office suite of programmes
- excellent attention to detail/accuracy
- experience of developing and maintaining a website
- understanding of Data Protection (GDPR) requirements
The Quality Assurance Office is responsible for maintaining the regulatory and procedural framework through which the standards of the University’s awards are assured and the quality of its programmes is enhanced. The Office also sets out and provides guidance on the University’s procedures for establishing and maintaining collaborative provision.
We provide secretarial support and guidance to several key University committees, including the Education Board and the Programme Approval Sub-Committee, on matters relating to the internal and external frameworks for quality assurance, with particular regard to the various chapters of the UK Quality Code.
We also provide support and guidance in preparing for external quality reviews, with respect, in particular, to the TEF and any institutional review undertaken by the QAA.
