Are you detail-oriented, highly organised, and looking to develop your finance career in a dynamic and collaborative environment? We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join our Finance Shared Services team, providing essential financial support across key functional areas.

As a Finance Administrator, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, monitoring budgets, handling expense claims, supporting procurement, and assisting with month-end and year-end financial activities. You’ll work closely with Finance Officers, School contacts, and colleagues across the Finance Services Desk to ensure smooth financial operations.

As a Finance Administrator you can expect to be involved in:

  • Processing financial transactions including purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims
  • Assisting with budget monitoring, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices
  • Acting as a first point of contact for finance-related queries, delivering excellent customer service

What will you bring to the role?

  • GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent  
  • Foundation level financial qualification (e.g. AAT) and actively studying towards full qualification, or willingness to undertake such studies
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office, with a good understanding of databases and spreadsheets
  • Experience of answering enquiries, particularly of a financial nature
