          <title><![CDATA[Space Analyst and Planner (EST-210-26-R)]]></title>

            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Join us as a Space Analyst and Planner where you will ensure that the space planning and management process effectively supports the pursuit of the University&rsquo;s strategic and operational objectives.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>You will support the optimisation of space efficiency across the estate by analysing space utilisation, reducing capital and revenue costs related to owning, managing, maintaining and developing the property portfolio. You will also contribute to space planning and design and play a key role in managing client relationships on refurbishments, new-build projects and in the coordination of department relocations within existing estate space.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;As a Space Analyst and Planner, you can expect to be involved in:</strong></p><ul><li>Contributing to the development of procedures within the University, designed to ensure reliable and practical allocation of space.</li><li>Taking a pro-active role in developing workplace options including new allocations, reallocations and alterations. Contributing to initial design concepts ensuring innovative use and re-use of space.</li><li>Analysing and interpreting space data. Providing operational evaluations, strategic space reviews, detailed planning exercises, recommendations and management information.&nbsp;</li><li>Preparing space planning option appraisals, feasibility studies. Provision of management information, preparation of papers, advice and support. Plan and develop innovative solutions to space issues using CAD, whilst factoring in relevant budget, H&amp;S and construction constraints.</li><li>You will assist with the development of a space utilisation dashboard and assist with decision-making.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What will you bring to the role ?&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Educated to degree level or equivalent in a cognate discipline, or substantial and proven experience in space planning/data analysis and/or management.</li><li>Evidence of a high level of numeracy, e.g. GCSE Maths at grade C or above or equivalent.</li><li>Substantial previous experience in a space planning and management role, preferably in the higher education sector.</li><li>Proven experience of project management and managing client relationships.</li><li>A strong understanding of space analysis and working with space utilisation data.</li><li>Proven experience of using CAD software for space planning.</li></ul><p><strong>What we can offer in return:</strong></p><p>As a member of our team, you can expect a friendly, open and collaborative working environment and support in your development and wellbeing.
