            <p id="isPasted">Can you inspire the next generation of forensic professionals through innovative, student-focused teaching and scholarship? &nbsp;Do you have sufficient specialist knowledge in the Forensic Science discipline to teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes? &nbsp;If yes, then this full-time post may be ideal.&nbsp;</p><p>The School of Natural Sciences, at the University of Kent, is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Forensic Science to deliver outstanding, student-focused teaching and to engage in scholarship and/or pedagogic research that supports career development within the discipline. &nbsp;You will contribute to high-quality learning and teaching across agreed programmes within the School, providing innovative, inclusive and engaging educational experiences for students.</p><p>This role will also involve participation in administrative and academic support activities, working collaboratively with colleagues to advance School and University objectives. You will contribute to knowledge exchange activities within Forensic Science, bringing experience-backed expertise across a range of forensic specialisms.</p><p>Applicants with a background in ballistics are encouraged to apply and candidates with professional experience in other areas of forensic science practice.</p><p>The post is offered on an Education, Scholarship and Professional Practice (ES&amp;P) contract which is appropriate for candidates who are student focussed on teaching and pedagogic research with demonstrable commitment to all aspects of teaching in higher education, including assessment, feedback and academic support.</p><p><strong>As a Lecturer in Forensic Science, you can expect to be involved in:</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Teaching, convening, and examining undergraduate and postgraduate modules</li><li>Playing an active role in all aspects of programme development and management, including (but not limited to) module design and development, curriculum amendments, recruitment and admissions, marketing, student support, planning and quality assurance</li><li>Supervising students&rsquo; work, including projects, fieldwork, and placements where appropriate, providing study skills guidance and support as needed</li></ul><p><strong>What will you bring to the role?</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant discipline</li><li>Sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate material of a specialist or highly technical nature</li></ul><p><strong>What we can offer in return:</strong></p><p>As a member of our team, you can expect a friendly, open and collaborative working environment and support in your development and wellbeing.
