Through LASE we aim to deliver outstanding education, impactful research, and meaningful regional and global impact.</em></p><p data-pasted="true"><strong>The <a href="https://www.kent.ac.uk/durrell-institute-conservation-ecology">Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE)</a> in the School of Natural Sciences is looking to recruit a Research Associate in Conservation Science to join the <a href="https://research.kent.ac.uk/sharing-space-for-nature/#:~:text=E3%20Sharing%20Space%20for%20Nature%20is%20a%20five-year,sea%20managed%20for%20nature%20to%2030%25%20by%202030.">E3 Sharing Space for Nature Programme</a>, a five year programme funded by Research England and based at DICE. This BBSRC-funded interdisciplinary project will use state-of-the-art single molecule imaging techniques to explore how muscle is activated and relaxed, generating insights relevant to both normal and diseased muscle function.</p><p data-start="489" data-end="955">Working with partners in the UK and overseas, including the University of Washington and the University of Kentucky, you&rsquo;ll use approaches spanning protein biochemistry, single molecule biochemistry and high-resolution imaging. This project reframes public engagement from cataloguing stakeholder views to addressing the relational gaps that shape how publics and stakeholders engage with emerging science.&nbsp;</p><p>Working closely with Professor Joy Y. Zhang and a multidisciplinary research team, you will contribute to the development of innovative public dialogue approaches, collaborate with a range of stakeholders, and help generate research that informs the future of engagement in genomic science. The role provides strategic leadership, operational management, and quality assurance for the medical curriculum, ensuring compliance with GMC and University requirements.&nbsp;</p><p>The postholder will both foster an excellent environment for students, ensuring an inclusive student experience, and also provide inspirational leadership to academic and teaching staff, leading on the management of academic programmes in the School and managing educational excellence. They will have the opportunity to lead a review of the School&rsquo;s undergraduate medicine curriculum with a mind towards continuous improvement. They will be an ambassador for KMMS in the wider university context, and at times will deputise for the Dean of KMMS.&nbsp;</p><p>The postholder will line manage the Heads of Year within the School and will help plan for future programme, and school, expansion. Working closely with principal investigator Professor Joy Y.             <p><strong><em>If you are a fast learner with excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, can demonstrate exceptional customer service, and are able to manage multiple responsibilities at once, this temporary, exciting and rewarding role could be ideal for you.</em></strong></p><p data-pasted="true">The University of Kent&rsquo;s Accommodation Office is currently recruiting Timesheet Clerical Assistants to support the Accommodation call centre during the UCAS Clearing process in August 2026.</p><p>These temporary roles are critical to the success of the Accommodation department and wider University, providing applicants with information and guidance on campus accommodation, answering questions and referring complex queries to senior colleagues.</p><p>Successful applicants will be flexible, confident dealing with customers on the phone, able to demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service, computing skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure, both alone and as part of a team.</p><p>You will be working as part of a team on shift pattern of up to 35 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. Hours will vary from week to week and are not guaranteed.</p><p>The Accommodation call centre will run from 13/08/2026 &ndash; 28/08/2026.
