Are you a highly-organised team player, used to working in a busy administration role?  Are you committed to excellent customer service with excellent communication skills? If so, we would welcome your application for the role of Operations Administrator.

The University of Kent is looking for an Operations Administrator to join the University Operations team and provide comprehensive, end-to-end administrative support. With a broad understanding of the routine activities required to ensure the smooth and efficient administration of the various activities that the operations team supports, you will be largely self-managed, responding to students and colleagues from across the University as well as visitors and external contacts on routine matters, ensuring a courteous and efficient response at all times

As a Operations Administrator you can expect to:

  • Provide effective administrative support to University Operations day to day, working proactively to deliver assigned tasks without prompting
  • Provide support in the organisation of meetings, events and committees 
  • Assist with the implementation of Health and Safety regulations 
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the OVC and University Operations asset register
  • Act as the point of contact for staff and visitors to the department providing a courteous and effective service

What we are looking for:

  • GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above), or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a clerical role 
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a range of colleagues at all levels
  • Able to work on own initiative and manage a workload with some competing deadlines and priorities
