We are seeking an exceptional, visionary leader to join our executive team to drive our strategic ambitions and nurture a vibrant culture of creativity and enterprise.
You will play a central role in strengthening our partnerships and collaborations, enhancing our distinctive specialisms, and deepening our contributions to economic, social, and cultural enrichment.
Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor & Provost, the PVC RI&I will work collaboratively across the institution, partnering with executive colleagues, Directors of Professional Services, and Heads of School.
As PVC (RI&I) your key responsibilities will include:
- Drive growth in research and innovation funding, diversify income streams.
- Drive knowledge exchange, start-ups and spin-outs.
- Collaborate with our Directors to cultivate an environment where research and innovation income grows.
- Provide strategic and academic leadership, direction and support
Success in this role requires:
- A visionary leader with a proven track record in research leadership, strategic thinking, and collaborative engagement.
- Ability to relate to, engage with, and command the confidence of senior colleagues in international, national and regional organisations.
- A successful record in developing effective partnerships to support research and knowledge exchange.
- Strong record of external engagement and recognition.
